This Privacy Policy explains what information AIPU ("we", "our") collects when you visit tryaipu.com or use the AIPU app, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the controls you have over it. It applies to every visitor and every account holder, regardless of plan.
1. Information we collect
You give us directly
- Account info — your email address, name (optional), password hash, and billing details when you upgrade.
- Content — prompts, uploaded files, generated outputs (text, images, video, audio), saved templates, and voice clone samples you create or upload.
- Support correspondence — anything you send to support@tryaipu.com or our in-app chat, including attachments.
Collected automatically
- Device & usage data — IP address, browser type, OS, device identifiers, the pages you visit on tryaipu.com, the features you use, and timestamps. Used for security, abuse prevention, and aggregate product analytics.
- Cookies & similar technologies — to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure traffic sources (including ad clicks from Meta, Google and other platforms), and improve the Service.
2. How we use it
- To provide, maintain and improve AIPU — including routing your prompts to the right upstream model (e.g. SeeDance 2.0 for video, ChatGPT Images 2.0 for image, etc.) and returning outputs.
- To process payments, prevent fraud, and send transactional emails (receipts, security alerts, billing notices).
- To respond to your support requests.
- To measure ad campaign performance and re-target visitors who didn't sign up. You can opt out — see Section 6.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. What we do NOT do with your content
We do not, and contractually require our upstream model providers not to, use your prompts, files, generated outputs or voice clones to train any foundation model. Voice clones additionally require explicit consent verification before they can be created.
4. Who we share data with
- Upstream model providers (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic, Google DeepMind, Black Forest Labs, ByteDance for SeeDance, ElevenLabs) — we forward the minimum content needed to fulfill your request. These providers operate under zero-data-retention agreements where available.
- Infrastructure & payment vendors — hosting, CDN, error tracking, email delivery, payment processors (Stripe). All bound by data-protection contracts.
- Advertising platforms — limited event data (e.g., "page viewed," "trial started," value of plan) so we can measure and improve our marketing on Meta, Google and similar networks. We never share your prompts, content or voice clones with advertisers.
- Authorities — only when legally compelled by valid process, and only the minimum required.
We do not sell personal information to third parties for monetary consideration.
5. Where your data lives
AIPU is operated from the United States. By using the Service from outside the US, you consent to your information being transferred to and processed in the US under the protections described in this Policy. For European visitors, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses for cross-border transfers and offer EU data-residency on Team and Enterprise plans.
6. Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict or delete your personal information, and to object to certain uses. To exercise any of these rights, email support@tryaipu.com from the address on your account and we'll respond within 30 days. You can also:
- Opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any non-transactional message.
- Block or clear cookies in your browser; the app will still work, but stay-signed-in and personalization features will degrade.
- Adjust ad-tracking preferences via your operating system or via the AdChoices and Meta opt-out tools.
7. How long we keep it
We keep account information for as long as your account is active and for up to 24 months after deletion to comply with tax, accounting and fraud-prevention obligations. Generated outputs in your library are kept until you delete them. Anonymous, aggregated analytics may be retained indefinitely.
8. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including TLS 1.3 in transit, AES-256 at rest, isolated production environments, single-sign-on for staff, and continuous monitoring. No system is perfectly secure; if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@tryaipu.com.
9. Children
AIPU is not directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, please email us and we'll delete the account and associated data.
10. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll post the updated policy here and notify active account holders by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Routine, non-material edits (typos, clarifications) take effect when posted.
